Dr. Karen Works, Teaching I Professor, Online Computer Science undergraduate program, has won an AnitaB.org Advancing Inclusion Faculty Scholarship to virtually attend the Grace Hopper Celebration 2024 (GHC 24). For the last 37 years AnitaB.org has been connecting women and non-binary individuals who are interested in computer science and technology. This community has blossomed over the years and now unites individuals across the globe via opportunities such as the Grace Hopper Celebration, conferences, workshops, mentoring, hack a thon, career fairs, and job-related forums on issues pertaining to women and non-binary computer scientists. Dr. Works is excited to be an Advancing Inclusion Faculty Scholar and plans on using this opportunity to inspire our undergraduate students. Well done Dr. Works!
