01/22/2018 - Recitations

We will begin recitations this week. Please make sure you attend your scheduled recitations. These are designed to help you understand the material better, since we sometimes rush through topics during lecture.

All the recitations will be held in MCH (Carothers) 315 A.

Please look at your schedule on myfsu to determine your section number and recitation time. CANVAS DOES NOT SHOW THE CORRECT SECTION NUMBER. Since we have cross-listed the sections, Canvas will show all of you in section 16. Please disregard this and use your schedule on myfsu to determine your section number.

Also, this is a final reminder that the best way to contact the instructor or TA is through email. Canvas messages and comments will most likely be read only on the Saturday following the day you sent your message, if at all. The emails for the instructor and the TA's are available on the Syllabus, as well as the course website, under the Help tab.

01/16/2017 - Some General Course Information

  1. 1We will not be holding recitation sessions for Week 2. We will begin recitations from Week 3, so please make sure you are attending recitations, starting next week.
  2. If you need to contact the instructor or the TA, please email them directly. Please do not reply to Canvas messages or comment on Homework feedback. Most of us turn off Canvas notifications and receive the messages in digest from, so we might not see your message until the end of the week.Please use email if you'd like a quick reply.
  3. We will be using Canvas only for announcements, turning in homeworks and posting grades. Everything else is on the course website<\li>
  4. If you are emailing the instructor or the TA asking for homework help, please attach the code you have so far. Please make sure the attachment is a .cpp file. Please do not send screenshots.

1/8/2017- Welcome to COP 3014 - No Recitations this week

Welcome to Programming 1.
Our first lecture will be on Monday 1/8/2018 at 3:35 PM in HCB 102 (Sectios 16-20) or Tuesday 1/9/2018 at 9:30 AM in CAR (Carraway) 101 (Sections 11-15). We will not be holding recitations (the 1 hour lab sessions in MCH 315 A) this week.
