Biographical Sketch: Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Dr. Sanjay Agravat is a Staff Software Engineer at Google with a 25-year career spanning academic research, teaching, and software engineering, residing in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Florida State University, M.S. from Johns Hopkins University, & Ph.D. from Emory University with a focus on Cancer Genomics, Digital Pathology Informatics, and Biochemistry. Dr. Agravat continued his research with a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Glycobiology at Harvard Medical School. In his eight years at Google, Dr. Agravat has led and contributed to a diverse range of projects including, Deep Learning applications for Google Cloud customers, weather forecasting research, and applying Large Language Models (LLMs) and Al Agents for data-driven insights and workflow orchestration. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is a passionate, lifelong supporter of Florida State Seminoles Athletics and serves on the University’s Computer Science Department Advisory Board.
