Dr. Guang Wang has a paper accepted by IJCAI 2025

Dr. Guang Wang, an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department, and his recent research has been accepted by in the the 34th International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI 2025) Human-Centered AI track. The acceptance rate is 8%. The paper title is “HCRide: Harmonizing Passenger Fairness and Driver Preference for Human-Centered Ride-Hailing”, and the first author is Dr. Wang’s current PhD student Lin Jiang.

In this work, they design a human-centered ride-hailing system called HCRide by considering both passenger fairness and driver preference without compromising the overall system efficiency. The core of HCRide is a novel multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithm called Harmonization-oriented Actor-Bi-Critic (Habic), which includes a multi-agent competition mechanism and an Actor-Bi-Critic module to generate dispatch decisions that balance both passenger fairness and driver preferences.

The paper will be presented at the IJCAI 2025 conference in August.
