am an associate professor at Department of Computer Science at the Florida State University, co-directing the Imaging Sciences Lab. I am also a co-founder of the Center for Applied Vision and Imaging Sciences, a joint Computer Vision center at the Florida State University. A copy of my vitae is avaiable here (pdf format).

My current research interests include effective representations for computer vision applications, object detection and recognition, real-time computer vision algorithms and implementations, pattern recognition, visual inference modeling, neural networks, artitificial intelligence, and machine learning.
