I received my Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University under the supervision of Professor DeLiang L. Wang. I am currently an assistant professor at Department of Computer Science at the Florida State University, leading the Florida State Vision Group. I am also a co-founder of the Center for Applied Vision and Imaging Sciences, a joint Computer Vision center at the Florida State University. A copy of my vitae is avaiable here (pdf format).

My current research interests include effective representations for computer vision applications, object detection and recognition, real-time computer vision algorithms and implementations, pattern recognition, visual inference modeling, neural networks, artitificial intelligence, and machine learning.
