Software Engineering I

This is the first in a two-course sequence in software engineering for undergraduate students.

The textbooks for this course are Systems Analysis and Design with UML Version 2.0: An Object-Oriented Approach, 3rd Edition, by Dennis, Wixom, Tegarden, and A Gift of Fire, by Sara Baase.

Access to most pages requires a userid and password, provided to all registered students by the instructor at the first class meeting.

As this is my first time teaching the course since it evolved into a 2-semester sequence and adopted a primary focus on object-oriented methods, my web pages for it will be evolving over the term. If you are interested in a preview of what is likely to come, you may want to look at the web pages for Dr. Sara Stoecklin's fall 2008 offering of this course, and the web pages from the last software engineering course I taught. I plan to use Dr. Stoecklin's course as a starting point, borrowing some materials from both of those sites and adding some new material for this term.
