Welcome to the Faculty Application Page. The department of Computer Science invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor Rank. Areas of preference are databases, computer systems and computer vision; strong applicants in other areas will also be considered. Applicants should hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, and have excellent research and teaching accomplishments and potential.
The department offers degrees at the BS, MS and PhD levels. FSU is classified as a Carnegie Research I university. Its primary role is to serve as a center for advanced graduate and professional studies while emphasizing research and providing excellence in undergraduate education. The department will be experiencing significant growth over the next few years with multiple additional positions available. The FSU campus is located in Tallahassee, the capital of Florida -- a city of approximately 250,000, about 40 minutes drive from the Gulf Coast.
