Course Description
This is a undergraduate course in algorithms. You will be expected to know the material taught in 4530 well. You can find more about the course in the
Course Information Handout. The midterm will be on Oct 8th, in the classroom. Final Exam is on Monday, Dec 10th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. There will be four or five problem sets, one midterm, one small programming assignment, two surprise quizzes, and a final exam.
Learning Objectives
The objective of this course is to encourage you to learn how to :
- design and implement new algorithms in the real world.
- map problems to algorithmic problems.
- develop writing skills to present your own algorithms.
- collaborate and work together with other people to design new algorithms.
