The meeting started at
The following faculty were present: Aggarwal, Baker, Burmester, Duan, Gaitros,
Gopalan, Lacher, Liu, Kumar, Schwartz, Srinivasan, Tyson, Wang, Whalley and Yasinsac
After considerable discussion, there were only six faculty who were interested
in creating a greater course requirement between the course based option and
the other two options.
It was generally agreed that the Portfolio Evaluation Committee will evaluate
PhD students after they enter candidacy.
The P&T committee met and decided to recommend that Ashok Srinivasan go
forward for promotion to associate professor and tenure next year. There were
no other faculty recommended by the P&T committee.
