Your objective is to set up a local recursive DNS server on your machine using MaraDNS.

You can find it in your repositories; all that you have to do is configure it for local recursion. This should take no more than 5 minutes.

Finally, test your server by asking for different records (such as some of those in the DNS notes): ibm.com's SPF TXT record, etc.
