Your objective is to set up MailScanner and clamav on your virtual server mail so that you now can scan email coming into your domain.

Download and install the latest stable version of clamav (0.93.3) from www.clamav.net. You will need to look at the manual in the docs/ directory since there are some items not mentioned in the INSTALL file.

Download the latest stable version of MailScanner (4.70.7) as either the rpm install or the tar install (the tar install is the "other Linux" category) from www.mailscanner.info. You will have to find the instructions on how to configure it to run with Postfix. You can either have it use the default clamav setup, or you can have it use clamd.

Test your setup with both MailScanner --lint and by sending email all the way through.

A journal is due for this assignment. Make sure that you document in your journal all of the steps that you went through, following the guidelines on the class home page. Please share the workload so that all team members get experience with all aspects of the work. Do not forget to assign your work percentages to yourself and your other teammates in your journal. Please turn in a printed copy of this assignment at the beginning of class on Friday, July 25th.
