CIS4407 - 2008 Summer
Group Assignment 6
Journals Due Friday, July 11th, at the beginning of class.

Assignment: Virtualized Servers

Your objective is to set up two virtual servers using Xen. One will be called dns.YOURDOMAIN, and the other will be called mail.YOURDOMAIN. The new dns server should be installed on your s1 machine; mail should be installed on your s2 machine. Both should be installed with CentOS 5.2.

I recommend that you use virt-manager to create the virtual server dns on s1. You may use virt-install or even just do everything by hand if you like, but virt-manager can be quite convenient since you can both install and run the your new virtual servers from a graphical interface.

Your new virtual servers should be paravirtualized servers, not "fully" virtualized.

To install your mail server, I suggest that you might find it simpler to copy the image file for dns from s1 and configure Xen by hand. However, you may use virt-manager or virt-install to create s2.
