BIOSKETCH
Ladislav Kohout is Professor of Computer Science at
the Florida State University in Tallahassee, where he is also the
acting director of the FSU Institute for Cognitive Sciences. He is the US
Editor of "Journal of Intelligent Systems", an Associate editor
of the journal "Information Sciences" and a member of the Editorial Board
of the "International Journal of General Systems". He is also a member of the
Board of Directors of the Association for Intelligent Machinery.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Fuzzy Sets and systems, Soft Computing, Approximate reasoning. Non-classical/computational logics.
Knowledge Engineering, Multi-disciplinary application of AI and
Computational Intelligence.
Medical computing, Computational biology.
Relational computational methods in engineering and General Systems systems science.
Relational computer architectures, computer protection.
Integration of Numerical and Symbolic aspects of theoretical
computer science and of computational sciences.
