Cross-Referenced Source Code

This page provides links to some of the code studied in this course. Most of it is presented in a cross-referenced form, using a "lxr" (see http://lxr.linux.no/). In addition to click-able HTML cross-reference links, lxr supports keyword lookup based on the "glimpse" search engine (see http://webglimpse.net).

The default lxr root directory contains source code for the following

• Linux kernel source code from http://kernel.org
• ldd-examples examples from from Corbet, Rubini, and Kroah-Hartman's book Linux Device Drivers, 3rd Edition. The versions here have been updated to allow compilation with Linux kernel 2.6.25. You can find the original versions in the kernel 2.6.11.8 directory (see below.)
• pixelsmart an example of a student device driver for a PixelSmart video frame grabber

There is also code for the 2.6.11.8 kernel, which you can access by clicking on the "Version:" menu once you get to any of the subdirectories, or you can access the 2.6.11.8 root directory directly.
