Dear Applicant:
Attached are page 1 and page 2 of the out-of-state tuition exemption form for the 2002-2003 academic year is available. Please down load the forms and complete it, adhering to the following guidelines:
1. Applicant must be a Chinese student from Taiwan, the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong or Macao. US citizens, permanent residents, and citizens of other countries will not qualify for the out-of-state tuition exemption.
2. Applicant must be a full time student (9 graduate hours or 12 undergraduate hours per semester) and currently enrolled in or accepted by a State of Florida University or Community College.
3. At least one letter of recommendation from a professor or university official must be included in the package. If the student is not yet attending a State of Florida university or community college, a letter of recommendation from a professor at the student's home university will be sufficient.
4. Please include the most recent official transcript containing evidence of applicant's cumulative GPA in the application package. The transcript MUST be in English or translated by a notarized institute.
5. Students MUST complete all portions of the application, such as
citizenship and test scores. Failure to do so will automatically
result in disqualification. Mail the entire package to the
appropriate address before April 1, 2002. Applications postmarked after
this date will not be considered. Application will not be accepted by e-mail
or fax.

The Florida China Linkage Institute will notify applicants regarding the status of their application by May 20, 2002. Do not contact the institute to check your status. Doing so may damage your status. The Florida-China Linkage will not respond to any requests concerning individual student status.
