Saving Bookmarks on UNIX Netscape

Problem :

You keep getting the error " Error Saving Bookmarks " pop up every minute or so.

Solution :

1. Copy your old bookmarks file ( ~username/.netscape/bookmarks.html) to your home directory (~username/bookmarks.html).

2. Delete the entire .netscape directory ( username@shell:\> rm -fr .netscape )

3. Startup a new netscape

4. Accept the policy agreement

5. Then to bring back your old bookmarks:
    Bookmarks -> Edit Bookmarks
    File->import ->bookmarks.html

6. Close netscape and reopen it and all bookmarks should be there. It should then continue to save bookmarks.
