Citrix Engineer - $75,000

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting with and providing enterprise systems design, technical project leadership, system implementation, ongoing operational support, proactive analysis, and capacity planning. Responsible for the detailed architectural support for Citrix technologies, utilizing Provisioning Services to deploy virtual XenApp Servers. This position requires experience managing server performance and functionality while maintaining a high availability server operations environment. Develop detailed documentation regarding installation, upgrades, support and compatibility issues. Provide daily administration of XenApp, XenDesktop, and Presentation servers, and installing, configuring, and monitoring Microsoft and virtual based servers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Implement, design, and manage complex Citrix infrastructures;
Building end-to-end Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments including XenApp configuration, XenDesktop, Provisioning Server, various hypervisors and management platforms (XenServer/XenCenter, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, SCVMM)
Configure and support NetScaler and Access Gateway solutions to support scalable delivery of applications and desktops to various endpoints;
Solid knowledge and experience with Windows 7 and application delivery/packaging solutions including application streaming, sequencing and isolation;
Experience with VMware View;
Replication, console management, and virtualization system backup capabilities,
Networking and storage related switching, routing;
Anti-virus solutions, power backup & filtering, Internet & Intranet technologies (Internet Protocol), Web filtering, network printing solutions, mobile devices, LAN administration, Microsoft Exchange, Mail filtering, Microsoft Active Directory, and supporting other industry recognized applications.
Configuration, installation, and maintenance of Citrix Provisioning Services and Citrix NetScaler.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required proficiency in Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp;
Command Line interface as well as utilization of Citrix provisioning services to deliver highly virtualized dynamic workloads;
The ability to install, configure and manage Citrix Access Gateway appliances, Citrix Advance Access Control and Citrix NetScalers;
Experience publishing applications through XenDesktop as well as experience providing supporting Windows Servers and VMware environments;
Knowledge with Microsoft infrastructure technologies including: DHCP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects;
5+ years systems engineering at enterprise level with strong knowledge of Highly Available Citrix farms;
5+ years deploying Citrix solutions and utilizing remote distribution tools;
Expertise with entire Citrix Suite. Expert with roll-outs, updates, and troubleshooting;
Expertise with PS 4.5 and XenApp 5 and 6;
Expertise with XenDesktop 5 and 6.5;
High-level proficiency in PowerShell and/or VBScript;
Strong communication, verbal and written;
Ability and confidence to work with all levels within the organization.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience (6 years);
Citrix certification CCIA or CCEE.
