Entry Level Software Developer
Job Description: Software developer (Entry and Mid-Levels)
Location: Gainesville, Florida
Company: Confidential, Large IT Services
Key responsibilities include:
Understand business requirements
Development of software specifications
Design modules and programs
Programming in a chosen language as per specifications
Unit testing
Maintain and document software functionality
Adherence to quality guidelines and maintain coding standards compliance
Meet expected release timelines
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Minor in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Liberal Arts and Science, Information Systems or any science related field
Upon selection, the candidate may need to travel to other offices (New Jersey, San Jose, Dallas or India) for 2-4 weeks to attend training and orientation so a valid passport may be required
0-4 years experience
The successful candidates are expected to be familiar with software development and related concepts
If hired, must be able to provide documentation that states they are legally authorized to work in the United States
Coursework and/or proficiency in the following:
Full lifecycle application development
Data Structures
Databases
Algorithms
Coding and debugging applications in various software languages (Java or .NET)
Object-oriented Design (OOD)
Java
.Net
Additional consideration if proficient in:
PHP/Python
Ruby on Rails
Front end graphical user interface design
SharePoint
Other Requirements:
Solid communication and presentation skills
Problem solving skills & and a learning attitude
Ability to work in a team environment
Process oriented
Work experience in an IT environment is not mandatory but would be considered favorable
Certifications in Java or .NET technologies would be considered favorably
Upon selection, the candidate may need to travel to attend orientation and training
Occasional project related travel may be expected
