Computer Technician
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant area; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience; Experience performing IT support duties, including setting up new computers and printers in a networked environment. Experience performing troubleshooting on computer hardware, software, and supporting equipment. Ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users and utilize problem solving skills. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. 30-40 hours per week. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing IT support to the college and debugging computer issues, IT security, and IT infrastructure needs. Responsible for recommending internal IT policies and procedures for managing IT resources in the college. Responsible for recommending and implementing solutions to all IT resource issues. Responsible for providing technical support for internal desktop systems, software, hardware and network infrastructure including installation, configuration and troubleshooting of desktop systems, workstations, printers, servers, other peripherals and network issues. Responsible for prioritizing IT needs among the supported groups to ensure most critical needs are addressed timely. Responsible for researching new products in support of request for upgrades of new technology. Maintains inventory of all IT devices and other work related items. Other duties as assigned.
