Director of Engineering

Description
Understanding and managing the engineering development process. Candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the following:
1. Understanding product life cycles
2. Functional requirements specifications for new or improved products
3. Statements of Work (SOW) for detailed technical development
4. Budgeting, scheduling, and measuring progress against a SOW
5. Regular reporting to management
6. Use of Microsoft project (or similar project management software)
7. Sustaining fielded products

Requirements
Education & Experience
1. Graduate in Engineering: Electrical Eng., Computer Eng., Computer Science or other related degree).
2. Masters Degree preferred
3. 7-10 years experience as a developer in related products
4. 7-10 years in Sr. level management
5. Experience in Embedded Firmware Design (C programming, cross compilation, debugging, etc.).
6. Experience managing enterprise level software projects.
7. Experience integrating software, hardware, and firmware into successful products.
Working within our technical environment the selected Candidate will be required to demonstrate knowledge in and discuss in detail the following subject matters:
1. Embedded Systems

5. Programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java
6. SQL data Bases
7. Linux Operating Systems
8. Process Design and Validation Testing
