The Computer Science Department at Florida State University is proud to announce the opening of the Architecture, Compilers, and Embedded Systems (ACES) Laboratory. While this laboratory has three different research areas, we have found that architecture, compilers, and embedded systems have significant overlap. The ACES laboratory is dedicated to exploring research problems related to these themes.
Florida State University is proud to announce the opening of The Security and Assurance in Information Technology (SAIT) Laboratory for research, education, and public service in information security and assurance. SAIT (pronounced "say-it") Laboratory is dedicated to the synthesis of education and research through the combined focus on theory and application of Information Security techniques. It is a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education as designated by the National Security Agency.
Florida State Vision Group was founded by Dr. Xiuwen Liu at the Florida State University. The groups research activities focus on researches in computer vision that are motivated by psychophysical data and neurophysiological findings. The group emphasizes that visual modeling is a fundamental problem in computer vision in that visual perception is nonlinear, which makes many of the tools critical for linear systems not applicable. The group focuses on models which may have great potentials for real-world problems.
The principal goal of Large Scale Experimental Networks and Systems (LENS) group is to perform leading-edge research in computer networks and systems. The LENS group brings together faculty, researchers, and students to collectively perform innovative research and experimentation. Our overriding objective is to contribute meaningfully towards improving long-term technological capabilities in networking and systems.
