Introduction

A NOL application consists of one or more workspace hierarchies, whose subworkspaces contain schematic diagrams. These diagrams:

Acquire data from real-time processes.
Make inferences based on the data.
Take actions based on the inference values, such as concluding new setpoints.

You interact with NOL by cloning blocks from palettes and connect blocks together to create a diagram. You configure the attributes of blocks to customize their behavior.

Once you have created a diagram of your process, you run the diagram to observe its behavior.
