log

Directs the output of this G2 process's standard output messages to a file.

Syntax

log-file-path: Location and name of a file into which the new G2 process writes standard output messages.

Description

To capture G2 standard output messages on a Windows platform, you can include the -log option on the command line to direct G2's standard output to a file. For information on standard output messages, see Understanding Standard Output Messages.

If the specified log-file-path names an existing file, G2 overwrites the existing file.

Example

This command starts a new G2 process and routes its standard output messages to the file c:\g2\logs\01-18-96.log:
