Directs the new G2 process to output text that shows the syntax of all G2 command line options.

Description

This option directs the new G2 process to output text that describes the syntax of each supported G2 command line option. The process then exits.

G2 writes the help text as follows:

On UNIX and VMS platforms, to the launch window.
Under Windows:
- To the console window that appears when G2 is launched.
- To the log file specified in an accompanying -log option, if any.

Since the console window disappears when G2 exits, you must specify a log file in order to preserve the help text for future use.

Example

This command directs G2 to output text that shows the syntax of all G2 command line options, then exit:

g2 -help
