Using Keystroke Commands

A keystroke means pressing a key on your workstation's keyboard and optionally also pressing at the same time any combination of the Alt, Control, and Shift keys. Alt, Control, and Shift are also called modifier keys.

A keystroke command is a G2 command or operation that has been assigned to a keystroke. G2 assigns several default keystrokes to G2 commands or operations. These keystrokes use either the Alt or Control modifier keys. The table Default G2 Keystroke Commands lists all G2 system-defined keystrokes.

You can also use configurations to change G2's default keystroke assignments and to make new keystroke assignments. For more information, see Configuring Keystrokes.
