Developing Custom Bridges

If no commercial bridge is available that meets your needs, you, a Gensym consultant, or a Gensym system integrator can develop a custom interface by using one of Gensym's G2 Gateway interfaces.

In general, building a custom bridge is a last resort. In most cases, it is much faster and less expensive to purchase an existing bridge if one is available, as opposed to building a custom bridge. However, there are cases where no bridge that meets the needs of the application is available.

The custom bridge belongs to your organization. Gensym provides no ongoing support for the bridge. When upgrades to device software, data historian, or G2 occur, it might be necessary to retain Gensym consulting to upgrade the custom bridge.

If you think you need a custom bridge, contact the Consulting Services organization at Gensym.
