Dr. Zhang received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. From 1999 to 2001 he worked as a software engineer for Soyea in Hangzhou, China. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2006. From 2006 to 2007 he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Computer Science department of the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. He joined FSU as an Assistant Professor in 2007.

Research

Dr. Zhang main research interests are in the broad area of Computer Networks, including network security systems, computer scheduling algorithms, performance analysis, wireless access networks, cross-layer design, optical networks, and wireless sensor networks.
